What to Expect

It is an honor for me to work with you on your healing journey and I will take every measure to make your goals my highest priority. During your first appointment, you will fill out a health history and consent form.

Being completely honest and detailed about your health history is of the utmost importance. Certain medical conditions and/or medications may contraindicate this work, so as not to do any harm, the information you provide is critical. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns prior to the session.

We will then discuss a treatment plan to most efficiently help you reach your short and long term goals. I will conduct a postural assessment to see what areas of restriction may be contributing to your discomfort. I will then do kinesiology testing to identify areas of structural collapse.

Cranial/Structural Therapy is then applied to start the process of unwinding and encourage the release of your body's myofascial holding patterns. This prepares your body for more extensive soft tissue work, and can release a great deal of discomfort. It is common for people to feel more grounded on their feet once they stand after the initial Cranial/Structural releases.

Specific myofascial and deep tissue techniques are then applied to release the holding patterns that directly contribute to structural distortions in the body. When addressing specific areas of the body that contribute to a structural collapse, it is important for you to know that you may experience sensations that you have never felt before. Communication during this work between therapist and patient is always encouraged. As long as you can comfortably breathe through the work, release will occur.
